Tarot beginner's guide
This guide is for newcomers on itarot.live. We do not overpromise what divination can do — we help you meet the cards with clarity and respect.
What tarot can and cannot do
Tarot is a symbolic tool for reflection. It can illuminate your situation, inner feelings, and possible directions — but it is not an unchangeable decree of fate.
Tarot cannot replace medical diagnosis, therapy, legal advice, or financial investment guidance. If you face a health emergency, legal dispute, or severe emotional distress, seek qualified professionals first.
On itarot.live, AI readings are text interpretations based on card symbolism and your question. They offer perspectives to consider, not orders to obey. Approach results with calm and discernment.
How to ask good questions
Tarot responds best to open, present-focused questions. Ask what you can learn or do, not exact dates or guaranteed outcomes.
Good examples:
· "What do I need to see in this relationship?"
· "If I choose A, what challenges and opportunities might I face?"
· "What inner theme should I focus on this week?"
Poor examples:
· "Will he marry me on March 15?"
· "What score will I get on this exam?"
· "Will I win the lottery?"
Focus, shuffle, draw, and AI reading
Take a moment to settle before you begin. Write your question clearly in the input field. After choosing a spread, shuffle and draw as the page guides you — trust your intuition; there is no single "correct" gesture.
Once cards are drawn, AI combines spread positions, card symbolism, and your question into a reading. Read each position and the overall conclusion. Note key points if helpful and revisit them later.
If the cards or text stir strong emotions, pause, step away from the screen, and decide later whether another reading is needed.
Upright and reversed cards
The same card may express energy differently upright versus reversed. Upright often aligns with the card's traditional theme; reversed may suggest blockage, introspection, or another facet of that theme. Reversals are not automatically "bad omens."
itarot.live readings include both orientations in the analysis. To study each card systematically, visit Learn Tarot and start with meanings and symbolism.
Single purchase vs membership credits
You can buy a single AI reading per session — ideal for occasional use or a specific question. If you read often, site membership or alliance membership offers credits within each billing period, usually at better value.
Confirm your spread and question before paying. Once a reading is generated, single purchases typically cannot be transferred. Check your account for remaining credits and expiry. Prices and benefits are shown at checkout and in membership details.
